The four steps to oral health
Step one to oral health is to ensure that you keep your teeth healthy and clean by brushing them. You should try to brush for two minutes every morning and night to gain the maximum benefit.
Step two encourages you to use floss when cleaning your teeth, trying to aim to floss once a day. We need to make sure we are not just relying solely on brushing, as flossing helps to clean a larger portion of your teeth. So make sure you have flossing as an essential part of your oral care routine.
Step three is all about your eating habits and how they play a role in tooth decay. Did you know that our saliva helps our teeth to recover from attacks sourced from bacteria? Our saliva helps ensure that our teeth are not negatively effected from the foods which we eat. We can help the saliva do its job by limiting our sugar intake during meals.
Step four is to remind you to make sure you have regular trips to the dentist. If you haven’t visited for a while or would like your first checkup please contact us. Call (03) 9510 2313 or book an appointment online today. We look forward to seeing you and helping to guide you to have good oral health.
